Gatorade

While being on campus I have developed a certain addiction to a certain product. This product is Gatorade. I have purchased multiple Gatorades while living on campus. It was getting to the point where I would have 3-4 Gatorades a day, I would go through them like nothing. I realized how bad it was and tried to put a stop to it but I was nearly powerless. It took every bit of energy to stop myself from drinking Gatorade for a week. After the week I began drinking Gatorade again but in moderation.

Intramurals

During my time here even though it is forbidden I've been involved in intramural games here at the school such as flag football, dodgeball, and basketball. I personally hated flag football because it didn't remind me anything of real football. Dodgeball was pretty fun but I was like the only person on my team who could throw a dodgeball so that didn't go well. Basketball was alright, we lost mostly but I still had fun playing with my friends. So in my time of being here I learned intramurals just aren't my thing.

Friends

At my time at Lewis I came crosses a pretty good group of friends. We became closer than I anticipated. We trouble in trouble together, and experienced good times together in the short time we knew each other. We always support each other through the ups and downs. I don't want to go to into it because, well I just don't want anyone knowing too much to be completely honest.

Procrastination

I admit that I have fallen victim to procrastination multiple times throughout my life. I believe that I am not the only one, that other also procrastinated once, twice, or a multitude of times. Why do we procrastinate in the first place? My senior year of high school my English teacher assigned a huge research paper that was thirty percent of our grade. Not only me but a majority of the class would have failed because most of us did not do the research paper until the night before, we did not even turn in a rough draft. We all got lucky because our English teacher gave the class another week to do the paper which was enough time for most of us to fix all the errors within our research papers. I almost failed English meaning I almost did not graduate simply because of procrastination.

If we could begin to think more severely about why we procrastinate we might realize that doing so could put us in a troublesome predicament that could have easily been avoided. We might realize that the excuses we say to ourselves such as, “I’ll do it tomorrow” “That can wait” “This is not due until…” are not acceptable. Procrastinate is not a good habit to keep because if it becomes part of our everyday lives then we are just wasting time by not being efficient as possible. Procrastinate can sometimes cost not only time but money, additional labor, and even jobs. Keeping all of this in mind it would be in our best interest if we all decide to stop procrastinating as soon and as much as possible.

Art of Pool

When I first took a tour of Lewis there was one common denominator that I saw regardless of where I was on the campus, pool. Nearly every dorm had a pool table including the den. I never knew how to play pool so I never thought that I would be using any of them. A few weeks into schools and I'm now pretty good at pool and I've meet new friends through pool. I do however think there are way too many pool tables on campus and would like to see more variety of games such as air hockey or foosball.

1nd Semester

So far the 1th semester was been overall easy except for a couple of classes. Mostly math and Cult and Civ. 1. I have never been a good math person but I've always tried to do the best I could, I have thought about going to a math tutor but my day is usually so busy that when I have time to go the tutor place is closed. In Cult and Civ. its more of me being sorta lazy and not me not understanding the material, the class requires a lot of reading. I just don't like reading things I'm not interested in but I guess I will have to learn. I also have to worry about making sure everything is up to date so can register for 2nd semester which is proving to be harder than I thought.
